Amsale Bridal Collection Wedding Gowns... Bridesmaid Dresses   Amsale Aberra designs for the refined and sophisticated woman who wants a wedding gown that is simple and uncomplicated, but also current and classy. Amsale's interest in fashion had roots in her childhood days growing up as the daughter of a government minister in Ethiopia. College studies brought her to the United States at age 19, but political turmoil back home left her completely cut-off from her family, and from funds for further tuition.  As a result, Amsale spent several years putting herself through school, and eventually moved to New York to continue her studies in fashion design at the heralded Fashion Institute of Technology. Later,while working as a design assistant with Harve Bernard, Amsale's own wedding gown search revealed an untapped niche in the bridal market, namely sophisticated, understated dresses.  Begining with a single signature design in 1986, Amsale launched her business as a custom bridal designer. Orders and recognition in the fashion industry followed quickly, and today Amsale's bridal designs can be found nationwide in the finest boutiques and specialty retailers, including Carlisle's.
